The Beginning and the End

Jesus Christ says: "I am the beginning and the end", a wonderful title that shows us that He is the great master workman of God. The one who begins the great plan of God and who also brings it to fulfillment.

All things were created through the Word of His power. And after He has reigned in the millenium as King of kings and Lord of lords, He will ensure that the elements of this first creation are dissolved in fire again.

He is also the cornerstone and foundation on which the church of the living God is built. And soon after He has added the last living stone to this spiritual building, He will come to take us to Himself into the Father's house.

As the Risen One, He is the beginning of the new creation, to which all who are in Christ Jesus belong. And He will also ensure that in the eternal state there will be a new heaven and a new earth. For He makes all things new.

That is why we can take courage, because He who has begun a good work in us will certainly bring it to completion!
