What happens at conversion?

“So if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new” (2 Cor 5:17)

What happens when a man gets saved? Conversion means much more than just being saved from God’s judgment or from hell. To properly understand the full extent of our salvation, we need to see what we have been saved from and what we have been saved for.

We are saved from darkness to God’s wonderful light. We are saved from the slavery of Satan to the freedom of the sons of God. Are saved from eternal damnation to God’s eternal glory. From eternal destruction and for eternal life. Yes, we are saved from eternal separation from God and he saved us for eternal fellowship in His wonderful presence.

We are saved from everlasting pain and suffering and we are saved for everlasting joy and the enjoyment of God Himself in heaven. Praise God for this wonderful salvation that He has given you if you have put your trust in Jesus Christ!
